Welcome to STIHL Shop Nambour, where we take customer service so seriously that we’ve turned it into an art form. Our staff are not just product enthusiasts; they’re certified backyard superheroes with capes (metaphorically speaking). With an extensive 70 years of combined experience, our team has seen it all, from unruly hedges to lawns that seem to have a personality of their own.
When you snag a genuine STIHL tool from us, it’s not just a purchase; it’s a ticket to a stress-free yard life. Picture this: your new tool arrives fully assembled, fuelled up, and ready to rumble. It’s practically waving at you, saying, “Let’s do this!” Plus, we throw in a warranty because, well, we’re confident you won’t need it, but it’s like a bonus feature – just in case.
So, when you step into STIHL Shop Nambour, be prepared to be greeted not only by our knowledgeable team but by a whole lot of garden wisdom and a dash of humour. After all, landscaping is serious business, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a good laugh along the way.

Meet Andrew, one of the proud owners of Stihl Nambour alongside his wife, Catherine. Hailing from Darwin, Andrew brings a wealth of experience in running his own business. Beyond his entrepreneurial expertise, Andrew is a passionate fisherman and food enthusiast. Despite being a self-proclaimed workaholic, he finds solace in the kitchen, whipping up culinary delights. When not immersed in business matters, Andrew cherishes moments with his kids and grandkids. His love for fishing takes him out to sea on his boat, ‘The Dugong,’ although he admits the local fishing scene doesn’t quite compare to the Northern territories.
In his earlier years, Andrew’s life was intertwined with baseball, and his dedication to the sport led him to represent Australia on the field. This athletic background has undoubtedly shaped his disciplined approach to teamwork and business endeavors. Adding another layer to his multifaceted life, Andrew spent 16 years in Cooktown, where he successfully managed and operated a business, acquiring a unique set of skills and insights. Today, Andrew’s diverse experiences converge, enriching the vibrant landscape of Stihl Nambour and contributing to its success.

Catherine is an integral part of the leadership team at Stihl Nambour, contributing her skills and expertise as co-owner. Originally from Darwin, she has found her preference for the cooler weather in the southern region. Catherine efficiently manages the business accounts, leveraging her financial expertise to support the company’s success. Working from home, she shares her workspace with three canine companions, adding a touch of warmth and companionship to her professional environment. Beyond her business responsibilities, Catherine indulges in creative hobbies, with a particular passion for resin art.
Her weekends are often dedicated to quality time with family, and she plays a crucial role as Andrew’s discerning taste tester, ensuring the success of his culinary masterpieces. Catherine’s multifaceted contributions and vibrant interests enrich the dynamic environment at Stihl Nambour.

Meet Georga, the youngest of the trio and the heart of creativity at Stihl Shop Nambour. Georga’s journey with the family business began at the tender age of 16, and she hasn’t looked back since – well, except for those times when she humorously attempted to escape the family fold. With a flair for content creation, Georga has found her sweet spot in crafting engaging narratives for our business’s social platforms.
She’s not just the face in front of the camera; she’s the brains behind the content that keeps our online presence buzzing. If that’s not impressive enough, she’s also embarked on a podcasting adventure with her dad, Andrew, called “The Contractors Club,” available on Spotify. Yes, she’s basically conquering the airwaves with power tools and puns.
When Georga isn’t busy being the social media maestro, you’ll likely catch her beachside with her partner Nick and their border collie, Banks. Because, you know, even content creators need a break to soak up some sun and surf. Georga brings a fresh and vibrant energy to our team, ensuring that we not only stay on the cutting edge of social trends but also have a few laughs along the way. With her behind the scenes, the family business isn’t just about equipment; it’s about creating a community, one witty post and podcast episode at a time.

Nick’s passion for tinkering and fixing things has found a perfect home in the world of small engines. He’s the go-to guy for those seemingly impossible tasks, especially when Andrew needs a challenge conquered. Nick’s determination and problem-solving skills make him an invaluable asset to the team.
Beyond the workshop, Nick’s adventurous spirit takes him to the waves, where he finds solace in surfing. When he’s not riding waves, you’ll likely find him casting a line into the water, enjoying a day of fishing, or perfecting his swing on the golf course. You may also find him at the beach with Georga and their fur baby, Banks, a 1.5-year-old border collie.
Join us in celebrating Nick’s journey at the family business. With a background in landscaping, a passion for mechanics, and a love for outdoor activities, Nick brings a unique blend of skills and enthusiasm to our team. We’re excited to see him thrive and contribute to the success of our workshop!

Specializing in the meticulous care of various quality brands, Alex is your go-to professional for all things related to small engines. Known for his upbeat can-do attitude, Alex takes pride in providing top-notch service to ensure that every product he works on operates at its best.

We’re proud to have Alex as a key member of our team at Stihl Shop Nambour, where his extensive experience and positive approach make him an invaluable asset in keeping your small engines running smoothly.

Meet Beau Black, our Small Engine Apprentice Mechanic. A proud resident of the coast for 16 years, Beau brings a unique perspective to our team. Before joining us, he owned and operated his own successful business in landscape and garden maintenance, making him intimately familiar with the high standards our customers expect.
Beau’s dedication to his work extends beyond the workshop, as evidenced by his passion for playing squash, rock climbing, and indulging in his enthusiasm for lawn care (“lawn porn”). However, his greatest joy is spending quality time with his adorable 4-year-old son, Mali. Whether it’s beach trips or engaging in outdoor activities, Beau’s commitment to excellence shines through in both his professional and personal pursuits. We’re proud to have Beau on our team, ensuring that your small engine needs are handled with expertise and care.

Introducing Harry Smith, the newest addition to our team and the other half of the dynamic duo – yes, Nick and Harry are twins! Harry has come on board to lend his skills to our sales team while pursuing his studies in mechanical engineering.

Meet Banks, a charismatic 1.5-year-old Border Collie, adored by his proud parents, Nick and Georga. Banks is known for his signature move, “the worm,” a backward jump that never fails to impress. He also loves people and will most definitely try to share his slobbery toy with you when you come into the shop.
When not at the Stihl Shop, Banks loves being at the beach and especially loves jumping into the waves or chasing the Frisbee. He also loves hanging out with his grandpawrents, Dave and Judy, who spoil him rotten (as all grandparents should) and can never say no to him.
Come in and fall in love with Banks just like all our customers have – he’ll have you wrapped around his paw. Banks and Mia alternate days at the shop so be sure to give them a pat when you come in!
